Most kids are enamored by Disney films, both the classics and the newer ones, thanks to their wonderful stories and thrilling visuals, designed to depict wondrous and magical worlds. Getting to dress up like beloved characters from Disney films is every kid’s dream. Luckily for Nephi Garcia’s three kids, their dad is a skilled former couture designer that’s ready and willing to dress them up as any Disney character they please!

How it Started

Nephi Garcia is the proud father of three children ages six, three, and two. He enjoys making all their fairytale dreams come true by designing and crafting elaborate and astonishing costumes for them inspired by Disney characters. It began with a request from his eldest daughter, Lili, who wanted him to make her a costume for their trip to Disney World. The former couture designer happily obliged. Soon after, he began to receive requests from other families to make such marvelous Disney-inspired outfits for them and their children.

A Treasure Trove of Hand-Made Costumes

Garcia left his job as a professional couture designer because it didn’t leave him enough time to spend with his family. Now, thanks to his daughter’s request for that first costume, his work and family life got beautifully intertwined in a very positive way. In an interview with Parents.com, Garcia said that most of the creative creations he crafts are his kids’ ideas. Over time, his lucky daughter amassed three closets full of nearly 300 costumes inspired by Belle, Jasmine, Tinkerbell, Cinderella, and other iconic characters.

Even the Parents Join In

In time, his entire family got involved with the work, including his wife and two sons. Garcia’s Instagram profile, designerdaddy_, is full of images of his stunning designs being worn by his entire family. There are even videos of costumes with special transformative features and effects. Garcia says each costume takes 6-12 hours to make. They certainly make playing dress-up as a family look like great and wholesome fun!

Celebrities are usually known for their singing or acting talent, but some are not limiting themselves and their creativity to one field.
